Online programmes for educators in special education from the USA

Drexel University offers an array of graduate special education degrees and certificates online for educators and administrators seeking new tools and methodologies to instruct students with autism spectrum disorders and related learning disabilities.  

MS in Applied Behavior Analysis – This program prepares clinical, behavioral health, and educational leaders to use analytic theory and tools to care for and educate children diagnosed with autism, Asperger syndrome, and other developmental disorders. Students will have the benefit of learning from the A.J. Drexel Autism Institute, which boasts renowned staff who are widely-published and respected in the field.

MS in Special Education – This program equips teaching professionals with the fundamental skills, knowledge and competencies needed to meet the needs of students with disabilities in multiple settings. Concentrations are available in Autism Spectrum Disorders, Collaborative Special Education Law and Process, and more.

Early Intervention Special Education License Program (EISE) – from USA

The Early Intervention Special Education License Program (EISE) is a graduate teacher licensure program to prepare early interventionists/early childhood special educators to provide services to young children (birth to age 8) with special needs and their families.

 

An additional focus of the program is training students at the preservice level to provide culturally competent services to young children with disabilities and their families who are from diverse backgrounds.

Nutrition and Nurture in Infancy and Childhood: Bio-Cultural Perspectives – conference in Sweden, August 2016 – CALL FOR PAPERS

swedenbaby80The 7th international interdisciplinary 3-day conference, ‘Nutrition and Nurture in Infancy and Childhood: Bio-Cultural Perspectives’ is this year organised and hosted by the centre Reproductive, Infant and Child Health (RICH), Dalarna University.

 

RICH is headed by Renée Flacking, Associate Professor of Nursing.

 

The conference is organised in collaboration with the research network Separation and Closeness Experiences in the Neonatal Environment (SCENE).
