The We Are One Festival is a celebration of inclusive citizenship, and the possibilities of a world where everyone matters – without exception. This is a Citizen Network event supported by ENABLE Scotland, and a range of other charities.
Talk on Caring Activism
Barony Bar, Strathclyde University Students Union, 1 pm
Showing how citizens can take power with each other to support vulnerable people in a crisis – e.g. a teenager leaving a care home with no family or job, an elderly person moving in and out of hospital or a family with a disabled child suffering isolation. Caring Activist teams catch people who are falling through the safety nets.
