Free advocates training from Afasic Cymru – Wales, UK

We are offering a free 3-hour training session on May 27th 2015 for advocates of children and young people to increase awareness of this very real disability.

Advocates may include: Parents, carers, foster carers & fostering agencies, Health Visitors, Social Services & English as an Additional Language (EAL) Services, play workers, youth justice case workers or indeed anyone working with/representing children & young people.

Online courses for those who work with people with ASD

Combating Prejudice and Discrimination directed at people with learning disabilities, Meeting in London UK, July 2015

This event will launch the findings from a review into attitudes towards people with intellectual disabilities around the globe, and efforts to improve them. This project has been conducted in partnership with Leonard Cheshire Disability, Inclusion International, and distributed globally with support from IASSID and Special Olympics.

Positive efforts to raise awareness and foster acceptance and equality from the UK and from around the world will be presented.
