Intensive Interaction and Emotional Well-Being conference in Reigate, Surrey, UK – December 2nd 2016 (This December!)

usinabus80The 2015 Us in a Bus Conference will provide the opportunity to listen to key researchers and practitioners and discuss the issue of what ‘well-being’ really means for people who are often socially isolated.  This includes children and adults with autism, learning disabilities or late stage dementia.

The Conference is aimed at all those who support people who find communication challenging.  We will explore the impact that meaningful connections have on self-confidence, self-esteem, mental health and emotional well-being.  We are delighted to have secured Graham Firth as our keynote speaker who will speak on the topic of “Creating genuine Social Inclusion – keep calm and use Intensive Interaction”. Go to  www.usinabus.org.uk for more details of the masterclass options and presenters.

The cost of the Conference is £95.

There are 10 bursary places available, and potential eligibility can be discussed on application.

Places are limited, so to book please go to www.usinabus.eventbrite.co.uk

For 25 years Us in a Bus has specialised in developing and delivering innovative and unique services for people who are ‘difficult to reach’.  The aim of our work is to create opportunities for people to fully express themselves.  The therapeutic impact of this can be seen in people’s increased confidence and willingness to engage with others.
