The American Association on Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities (AAIDD) has a long been the premier association for professionals in the world of supports and services for and with people with intellectual and developmental disabilities and their families.

As our understandings of disability have evolved and changed, so has the role of “professional.”  What does it mean to be a professional now and in the future? How are the role and vocation of professionals changing?
