Autism Family Respite Project Conference 'A future for adults with autism: a way forward' October, London, UK
This is the maiden conference of the Autism Family Respite Project. The project is set up to provide much needed information, support and respite to families of adults with autism.
This event provides a platform for people who are involved in caring and commissioning care for Adults with autism, to learn about how parents have managed their children who have autism and moved them into being functional adulthoods.
Speakers include:
- Carole Haynes, Parent/Carer of a young person with autism/Autism Adviser/Oral Health Educator.
- Rosie Barnes. Author of Understanding Stanley, Looking through Autism. Parent/Carer to a young man with Autism.
- Drama by Plays of Our Lives.
This event is aimed at parent/carers, services for adults on the spectrum and anyone else who is interested.
