This low-cost seminar is for people who support children and teenagers with disabilities and want to help teach them to use the toilet.

 

The assessment is appropriate for children and young people with a learning disability, physical disability, autism and complex needs. 

Thursday 21st June 2018. 10.30 am to 2.30 pm

The facilitator is Charmain Champ, a Registered Nurse with over twenty years’ experience in the field. She will discuss her ‘Right Approach’ to teaching children to use the toilet.

This is a whole-child approach that includes assessment, goal setting, communication, realization, environment, position, accessories and reward.

 

 

The seminar will refer to Charmaine’s recently published ‘Bowel & Bladder Assessment Pack’ and to her social story ‘Bobby can use the toilet’.
