A very important questionnaire for family carers about trauma support. Can you help get it out to families? (ENGLAND)
producing a report on trauma support for families of children and adults with learning disabilities and/or autism
From CBF: The Challenging Behaviour Foundation (CBF) is working with Respond, Three Cs and The Tizard Centre to provide NHSE with a report and specification on trauma support for families of children and adults with learning disabilities and/or autism.
CBF is working on research into what trauma support already exists, families’ experiences and what they think would help and has worked with a Family Carer Advisory Group to create a questionnaire for families to complete.
We would be very grateful if you could share this online questionnaire (https://www.surveymonkey.co.uk/r/Trauma_Support )
The information gathered from this questionnaire will serve as a strong basis for evidence of the need for trauma support for family carers and will be used to influence providers of support and services.
Some families of individuals with learning disabilities and/or autism who have contributed to the development of this questionnaire have provided the following:
“Trying to find a way to get the right support and appropriate services, as family carers, can often be incredibly difficult and very stressful. We need the people making decisions to understand this and better support us. If you are able to contribute in any way to this questionnaire, we will do everything we can to make sure your challenges are understood and help shape future support.”
The questionnaire will close at 9am on Monday 16th March 2020.
