Project BEYOND: Improving Body Functions through Participation

Project BEYOND how community-based activities can positively impact key body functions—motor, behavioural, and emotional—among youth with physical disabilities. By engaging in an 8-week activity of their choice, participants may experience improvements in movement, attention, and mood.

Partnering with major rehabilitation organizations and community stakeholders, the study operates across multiple sites in Ontario, aiming to recruit 150 youth by 2026. Occupational therapists and physical therapy assessors play a crucial role in delivering interventions and tracking progress.
