Amaze (Autism Victoria) is celebrating World Autism Awareness Day

WAAD

Sunday 7 April. And with an awareness walk in Melbourne followed by fun and activities in Birrarung Marr.

Wear blue!

The walk leaves Alexandra Gardens (behind the boathouses) at 2pm and we are asking everyone to wear something blue. ASD awareness flags and T-shirts will be available to purchase at the start.

The walk is just 1.2km and suitable for everyone, including strollers and wheelchairs – there are no steps and no roads to cross, and our volunteer marshals will guide participants.

We cross the river and walk to Birrarung Marr where there will be lots of fun – starting with a countdown and a dove release. Activities will include trampolines, a jumping castle, petting zoo and face-painting – an activity pass will cost $8 per person and will allow access to all activities with funds going to Amaze.

Win a Springfree trampoline!

Anyone who purchases an activity pass will have the chance to win a Springfree Trampoline valued at almost $1000.

The Lions will be providing a sausage sizzle and other food and drinks will be available to purchase. There will be information booths for a range of services for the ASD Community.

This will be a day for all individuals with ASD and their families, friends and supporters to gather, share time together, have some fun and enjoy an atmosphere of understanding and support.

Come along and join in the fun!
