Imraan Adam - Journalist

 

Imraan Adam, originally from Leicester has graduated from University of Derby with a First Class Journalism degree and is now using his talents to help others in a new role. 

Imraan will receive his degree at the University Awards Ceremony in January along with more than 2,500 students. Imraan said: 

"I've always been passionate about writing. When people are reading my articles they are judging me on my writing ability and my ideas, not my disability or the wheelchair I use." 

Imraan is now Press Officer with Disability Derbyshire  which he became involved with while still a student, firstly as a volunteer worker and then as Vice-Chairman of its board.
