Rising demand and failing services bring England's children's services to crisis point – article and video
Barnardo's teamed up with the Guardian newspaper to hold a 'roundtable' debate, demanding the UK Government rethink the delivery of vital services for children.
Barnardo's CEO, Javed Khan (pictured), co-hosted the discussion, which examined the current state of the country's service provision for the most vulnerable children and young people. He highlighted the increasing demand for help, while Government support decreases.
There was general agreement around the table that things 'can't go on as they are'. Mr Khan provided insight from Barnardo's, drawing on their extensive work transforming the lives of the most vulnerable children in the country.
