The following are extracts from an article with this title on the Microwave News website:
‘The U.S. National Toxicology Program (NTP) is expected to issue a public announcement that cell phone radiation presents a cancer risk for humans. The move comes soon after its recently completed study showed statistically significant increases in cancer among rats that had been exposed to GSM or CDMA signals for two-years.
‘Discussions are currently underway among federal agencies on how to inform the public about the new findings. NTP senior managers believe that these results should be released as soon as possible because just about everyone is exposed to wireless radiation all the time and therefore everyone is potentially at risk.
‘The new results contradict the conventional wisdom, advanced by doctors, biologists, physicists, epidemiologists, engineers, journalists and government officials, among other pundits, that such effects are impossible.
‘Ron Melnick, who led the team that designed the NTP study and who is now retired, confirmed the general outline of the results detailed by the confidential source.
“The NTP tested the hypothesis that cell phone radiation could not cause health effects and that hypothesis has now been disproved,” he said in a telephone interview.
“The experiment has been done and, after extensive reviews, the consensus is that there was a carcinogenic effect.”’

Where do you stand on this?
You might welcome these findings -
if you believe as I do that the electrosmog we all live in is a severe health hazard – an environmental toxin
if you think we are blindly gambling with the health of our children
if you are campaigning in any country to get wi-fi out of schools
if you would like governments to apply a precautionary principle to use of this untested technology.
You might not welcome these findings if –
you love all the new gadgets and don’t want to hear any bad news about them
you are part of the super-rich wireless technology industry
you are part of a government that profits from the industry
your children use the gadgets at home and at school and you don’t want to face the possibility they are being seriously harmed.
It might well be that the findings will be suppressed by the powers that be. We have to remind ourselves, time and again, that governments have to be pressed very hard indeed to move against powerful multinationals and that no industry ever wants to put public health before profits. Remember the continuing scandal about testing car emissions.
