Last Mile Health’s work in Liberia

LMH report: Our work over the past quarter was shaped by several significant milestones in Liberia’s history.

In January, Liberia achieved its first peaceful transition of power between democratically-elected presidents in several decades when Honorable George Weah assumed the seat of former President Ellen Johnson Sirleaf.

Then in April, Liberia observed the decommissioning of the country’s long-serving United Nations peacekeeping mission, signalling progress toward sustainable peace and stability.

Against the backdrop of these developments, Last Mile Health is grateful to be working alongside our government partners to achieve progress toward universal health coverage.
