TACinterconnections in 2017 - our focus

Dear Colleagues,

You might have noticed the teamaroundthechild.com website has been out of action. The problem has been resolved and we are now www.tacinterconnections.com

So, this TAC Bulletin is the first since mid-November. I apologise for any inconvenience this has caused you. (I am also aware you might have enjoyed a break from my communications over the holiday period!)

New publications

We have not been idle in this time. We have published three books -

Early Childhood Intervention without Tears: Improved support for infants with disabilities and their families, by Peter Limbrick. Available from Interconnections at £22.

Bobby can use the toilet. This is a social story to help young children and teenagers learn to use the toilet, by Charmaine Champ. Available from Interconnections at £12.

Bowel & Bladder Assessment Pack: A guide for carers and professionals helping children and young people with a learning disability, physical disability, autism or complex needs to be successful with toileting, by Charmaine Champ. Available from Interconnections at £18.

Our focus

During 2017, that TAC Bulletin will keep a closer focus on babies, children and teenagers who are disabled, marginalised or vulnerable and will welcome news of initiatives from any part of the world that support children with disabilities in poverty, in displaced populations and ethnic minorities.

We are developing an online TACinterconnections Journal. This will collect articles within the above focus. We hope it will be a support for people who have not before put their work or ideas into the public domain.

With very best wishes for 2017

Peter Limbrick
